I understand we haven't unlocked most of these ecus on the is200ts/is300 but I was wondering does anyone know anyone that do transmission tunes? to where the shifting shifts little bit quicker?

If I’m not mistaken RR racing has already made a transmission tune for faster shifting and better shift points for is250/300/350/200t

Didn't really look into RR Racing cause I thought they mainly focus on the v6 models

For whatever it's worth, the 300 and 350 RWD share the same transmission. So, it wouldn't surprise me if the tuning know-how needed for one of them would also be useful on the other.

There is no tune for the transmission. Only ECU tunes available for years 14-17. Believe RR are working on ECU tunes for 18+ models.

You may might able to purchase Sonnax Line Pressure Kit for the transmissions. I know they work for the IS300/IS350 but not sure for the IS200t. Folks have claimed faster and crisper shifts.

That may be. Mind pointing me to what you saw/heard?

I mean, they are both Aisin AA81E 8-speed Sport Direct Shift transmissions. There could be software or tuning differences, but knowing Lexus, probably nothing too crazy.

my biggest reasoning is the part numbers they don’t cross reference with each other another point is that the starters are different on both is350 and is200t maybe housing different?
is350 transmission part number

is200t part number 35010-53280-84
anyone done a swap with a 350 transmission?

However, when I look up the part number you posted above, I see only GS 350/IS 350/RC 350 listed as fitting. What? I am so lost.

Anyway, probably another topic for another time, but clearly this is not as simple as I thought.

If anyone is looking for the best overall tune for IS200t or IS300 RWD, I'd definitely look into D3 performance. They have the best hp gains and overall performance out of any of the other 8AR-FTS tunes. I've been running the stage 1 cold air intake tune on my IS200t for a while now and have nothing but positive things to say about it. The throttle response is much quicker and shifting is more responsive. Feels like a different car compared to stock.
