My IS350 is 3737 pounds and it feels light & nimble.

Since I own one, I recall an ISF being 3780 lbs. That's almost a 200 lbs increase. The RCF will likely be heavier than the RC350, while an M3 is lighter than a 335i. Even if the RCF is faster, it's just too much weight. A reason I never liked GTR's despite how fast they are is cause of the weight and size.

what i cant get over is lexus taking one step forward and two steps back. 460-480 hp sounds great, but it means little when the weight also increases to 4000 lbs. i really hope its a mistake. how can this car weigh so much? is the RCF just a V8 shoehorned into the RC350? really lexus, really?
dont get me wrong this car has a lot of great attributes, but the weight is a killer. you can mask it, but that doesnt change its detrimental effects...

I expected it to be 200 lbs heavier than an M3 or at least lighter than an RC350. There's no mention of a lightweight techniques used other than the CF Roof. I think the R&D money was all put into making it look fantastic, which it does.

I guess its safe to say that central gauge doesn't move, but why did they put that other speedometer gauge? It looks so out of place especially when you have speed on digital one. They should have went with another screen on the right side.
This is the best looking GT under 100k on the market right now, period.
Although I prefer the grille of base RC because it looks alive like its wrapping itself around the frame, F grille looks quite like sinister still life. RC is definitely best adaptation of spindle yet and if my eyes are not deceiving me it looks like F grille is a bit narrower and more symmetrical than base one.

funny how the F grille is toned down over the 350 grille. Yea the analog speedometer is out of place, you already have a digital one there. I guess teh RC350 F Sport will get the gauges the IS has now

They should have made the RC350 with the horizontal slats. period. then my world would make sense again.
I dont understand the fuss about the weight. Lexus already is doing a CF roof, which means they are tried to reduce weight. They could have very well just left it steel

the fuss is that this car was built from the ground up. they obviously didnt care enough about weight if the end product is such a pig. on the other hand, with the M4 all the engineers talked about was weight. they didnt talk about the engine or about more power. they talked about weight. do i think the M4 will end up weighing 3300 lbs or something like that? no. but at least they tried. the RCF seems like a half assed job, shoehorning a 460-480hp V8 into the RC350 and calling it a day. tada-san, the lead engineer of the FRS should be the lead engineer for all future toyota/lexus/scion models cuz he cares about what enthusiasts want....
