There's no replacement for displacement, problem is there is no way of tuning it.
Guys with the last gen M3's just supercharge their motors and laugh at 335s.

Audi does 450hp with a 4.2L engine. If Lexus really wanted to, they could make the RC F 500+hp, but they are always conservative, balancing reliability, fuel economy, costs, etc. For someone that wants to stay within Lexus though, there's nothing else in the lineup like it though.

Now between NA V6 and Turbo V6, it is not brainer... or NA V8 vs turbo V8.

But i guess these days everything is about acronyms... so maybe by the time Lexus comes out with turbo V6, germans will be running quad turbo 2cly engines.

:-)
I never said I wanted it to be. I'm just saying this will be the last NA performance F motor. More power than the IS-F to be better on par for the competition while these FI mills are being produced. Hence this new motor is a bridge engine.

I agree, but as I posted above, basically just enjoy this motor while it lasts. 2016 models are likely to start getting TTV6 and V8's.

And that Audi 4.2 will be replaced with the 4.0T very soon.

Does anyone know if there will be an F sport model and when that will be revealed?

Read through the most of the RC threads and I'm liking it thus far. One question, has there been talk of a convertible yet and if so hard or soft top?

Thanks!

They didn't say anything about the F Sport but it will definitely be available once RC hits the dealers (Lexus' being adding F Sport to all their lineup but GX and LX). I'm in love with the F Sport grille, I'd take it over the normal one with vertical slats.

Went to the dealer and have a print out on "Tentative" prices and builds... Might upload later, but here's what it shows:

RC350: $45,500
RC350 + Nav: $49,100
RC350 F Sport: $51,100
RC350 Luxury: $53,000
RC350 F Sport Plus: $56,000

RC F Performance: $71,500
RC F Carbon: $75,500

Same colors with UltraWhite and Ultrasonic Blue being exclusive to F sport and F.
New Color exclusive to F Sport and F is orange...

and there will be F-Sport Premium so nobody will complain about missing things anymore :-)

They are planning 1400 monthly sales for RC in USA, with 200 being RC-F.

It will probably be way higher right at the start.

Would this be the RC350 F Sport Plus for $56K listed above ??? If not what would the Plus have as extra equipment over the RC350 F Sport ?

F Sport Plus...excited to see what this trim is all about. I imagine the 200t will be ~3k cheaper once it arrives?

Most likely F-Sport Premium in Europe which gets you some features from Luxury package in F-Sport trim like heated and cooled seats in IS F-Sport for an example.

things that Luxury has but F-Sport does not... like real leather, etc.

You can see it here for 3IS:
http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/featu...ns/?navTo=i0s4

This probably means that they will get 3IS F-Sport Premium to the US as well :-)

well, lets hope not... i would not want them to replace RC-F V8 with V6 turbo in the future... they can turbo V8 all they want for GS-F and whatever else they are building.
