Somehow I doubt the production car will look like that. That render looks almost exactly the same as the LF-CC concept car.

That would be the kind of thinking that will hold them back forever. Wouldn't surprise me though. They detuned the GS460 to stop it threatening the hybrid.

Audi's RS7 is faster 0-60 and has more power than the R8. That's how it should be done since the RS7 is the newer car.

Im guessing announcement at Tokyo/Detroit auto shows, goes on sale aug/sept 2014 as 2015 MY. This would be the most opportune time to roll in a 350 engine power upgrade for IS/GS/RC to promote the car. Main reason Im holding out for a 2015 IS350 F Sport. If they dont improve the power, then an engine upgrade isnt coming anytime soon

If it looks like a 2-door IS, i would be happy!

Lexus doesnt need to change much to make the RC a hot looking car.

I'd imagine either they don't want to play in the power wars or and most likely, biding time while gearing up with the Twin Turbo mills in Lexus's near future
a lot of good thoughts behind this post

i always think it's amazing when ppl keep on saying they can't make the gsf (or whatever f) having more hp than the lfa. look at mb and the sls. and not to mention, lfa is in the PAST already. production ended, car, done, period

That's what I say, people keep comparing it to the M5 and E63

I look at it as all we got now is a 300 hp V6 GS350, a 465 hp V8 GS-F? HALLELUJAH!!

It would be like Honda make a new NSX and people automatically compare it to the 458, 12C and Gallardo, since the original NSX matched or exceeded the specs of the Ferrari 348 in the same era.

The GS used to have a V8 for years you know.. It was called the GS400/GS430/GS460. So why can't they just call it the GS500 now? Wearing the F badge needs to mean something more special or they'll risk diluting the equity of the F brand.

I was just reading AutoCar (or maybe EVO) and the RS7 with you know 560hp or so got 3 stars for being disconnected and far from an involving car.

Again peak HP figures are not everything.

absolutely right.

a car like an fr-s/brz proves that. you can have wonderful dynamics/packaging/features/price - in short, a winner - without having to be warp speed fast.

I agree with you 100%, it would be more appropriate to call it a GS500. But what is most important is the hardware, it is just a badge, you can change it to whatever that makes you happy on your own car

I would call it GS508............following Ferrari's naming convention
