it does? It has nothing to do with GT86, if thats what you mean... it is a lot larger in every dimension, including wheelbase.
I think it looks pretty awesome, and design is very much adjusted to coupe.
435 looks a lot like 3 door 335i... i actually like sedan better than coupe.
It is just very plain design when compared to something built for coupe, like RC or A5.
it is very ungainly.

I am not sure many people are getting this but this is the pinnacle of Lexus design surpassing even the timeless original SC lines.
This here is a culmination of all those concepts Lexus has been feeding us since LFA II. This thing has it all design cues implemented into it. Scary thing is that they are evolving! Take a look at the fog lights, they are integrated into the spindle grill, take a look at the LED headlights, finally they did it properly and ditched bland projector resemblance. And finally take a look at the grill and taillights, those two are something you have never, ever seen on any Lexus so far. Grill is a statement that its outrageous and taillights are non closed asymmetrical shape, just alone those two would not even be considered ten years ago.
My favorite part are those two diagonal cut lines on the trunk that finally made into production. Since I saw them for the first time on GS Concept I knew that was the strongest part of the design. They were the part of every other concept after that but for the first time we see it on production design. Better late than never right?
And someone compared Mazda 6 with this and I think they got the point. Both are awesome designs that share some foundation lines and look similar on photo but in reality they will be so much different on the road. I have no problem when two great design exercises are compared, I would be offended if someone compared this to C Coupe

One thing that improves upon a grill are those vertical bars instead of horizontals. I couldn't pin point what was exactly wrong with non F grills and I always thought it was the bumper part but actually it was them horizontal lines that just don't work on grill like this
