in Japan the GS 250 / 350 comes with the LED headlights. In any other part of the world it is hybrid (GS450h) only. I would not be too surprised if that is the case here as well.

Maybe IS headlights are cheaper to make, who knows. All I know is that you can't get LED headlights for RX/GS/LS without getting a hybrid. You could still buy them, but that is going to cost you $6,500+

it is 3rd generation LEDs, but i think here the question was of making hybrids in Lexus stand out by using LEDs and now since everyone has LEDs, so they are offering them on new models that are not hybrids as well.
So you will likely see it on future cars on all engine options, just like on 3IS.
Do LEDs provide better visibility at 5000k as opposed to the industry standard of 4300k for HIDs? LED headlights, especially those from Acura seem to be running 5000k.
