Default Awd & rwd?

I've looked and looked and can't find out if the new RC Coupe will be offered in AWD. I obviously know the F will only be RWD but the standard and F sport was wondering. Anyone know? Thanks.

"The RC coupe will be offered in rear wheel drive and all-weather drive (AWD), however availability will vary by market."

What is not perfectly clear is will the RC 350 AWD get the same 8-speed automatic transmission that the RWD will get. On the IS and the GS the AWD variant settles for a 6-speed.

Yeah, like with the '12 Infiniti G37coupe i got - in the last few years in the NorthEast (NY/NJ) you can only get the G37xS (Sport w/ AWD) which has a rediculous ride height.

I hope that -

1.) They offer the RWD F-Sport.

2.) If not - That the AWD F-Sport comes with the 8 Speed Auto - And a reasonable ride height.

If not, that wouldn't be very enticing to me. The F-Sport setup with the Transmission is what i'd like. Preferably RWD.

You can get custom ordered RWD BMW and their AWD like Audi's have good stances.

I honestly hope they dont offer the RC coupe in AWD with some of the issues that lexus has with modified AWD cars

What kind of issues are you referring to?

My guess is the issue with vibration/wobble when lowering an AWD Lexus? I'm with you on that ... Though by the pics, that RC f-sport looks to have very little wheel gap - just right for my taste.

Keep in mind not everyone wants to modify their cars.

TRUE STATEMENT! but I see the RC as a performance/sports car where the majority of the population of owners will do some sort of modification to their car including lowering. With an AWD RC, I see the same issues/threads being started compared to people have with the IS/GS awd owners. If it has an F-Sport line, then you can probably guarantee it will be modified in some way shape or form.

If it's like the IS, it will be the same ride height, and in fact, ground clearance on the IS AWD is 0.2 inches lower than the RWD.

I never would have guessed that. Learn something new every day. Finally the AWD has something on the RWDs! (Other than the obvious).

My dealer said they have no information stating an awd will be available. I personally would be all over it.

Hope this gets cleared up soon. Will make choosing between the IS and RC a lot easier if they don't offer AWD on the RC.

zhawks, check post 2 above, we know there will be an AWD version. There are just no details about markets, and equipment packaging.

Yup I looked at that. Guess I should have stated that I'm waiting to hear what will actually be offered in the US market in terms of packages/options. I haven't seen anything yet. RWD could be the only option until next year some time in the US.

I'm waiting to see what's offered in the U.S. as well. I'm hoping for an awd fsport plus rc350. Now wouldn't that be the bomb?
