I think it is coming in 6-7 months to Europe... Possibly sales might start in March 2015, not exactly sure... I am not sure if US will get 2.0t though - Europe isnt getting 350, just 2.0t (and 300h)

It's been trademarked in Australia, and I'd expect it to come out next year as a 2016 model. Probably be announced along with an IS200t and a GS200t.

If US craves for RC sales then there is no doubt RC200t will be there next year.

If information is correct, September 2015 for IS200t, RC200t and GS200t. Still a year away, anything can change

Any word Hoovey if there's going to be a "tuned" version of the 200t for the RC/IS? There would seem to be a lot of headroom for a higher powered version of the 2L turbo, especially as the 3.5L V6 must be coming to end of life soon.

Sorry, nothing of that nature has reached my ears at the moment.

GR isnt going anywhere... likely it will be updated same as UR in RC-F, but we dont know that... anyway, Lexus does not plan to replace 3.5l GR with 2.0t.

How is Lexus going to compete against the next +350 PS/500 Nm 3.0l I6 engines of BMW and Mercedes?

Well, if I am not mistaken, the 200t engine from Lexus development can and was proven to make 350hp and 300+ torque from the factory.

Going with Toyota definition of engine engineering, I say the 200t pot can get into the 1000hp without problems.

There are two major things many other manufactures do not understand about Toyota and praise them for.

1/ simplistic wiring diagram
2/ ability to withstand punishments of stock engines

The 4 pots in Scion TC was tuned to make 1000+ hp reliably, and bring the car down to 7 seconds quarter mile.....there is no way the 200t make less or less reliable.

But that uncrackable ECU. There will be a lot of work for a tuner to unlock that thing. And I don't think tranny designed to hold 250hp~ can hold anything over 350hp. If Toyota can tune the 2.0L turbo to 350hp out of the box, that would be perfect.

Guys the 200t is an entry level mill and will likely develop around 250bhp. It DOES NOT replace the 350. No news on the 350 but it either gets a host of improvements or a new powertrain will replace it in the coming years since the gap between 250/200t closes in on the 350.

But it does FINALLY replace that 250 motor once and for all..

Glad they phased it out of the RC launch..
