since 3IS interiors are similar to the RC. I hardwired my escort to a fuse near the pedals and ran the silence button as so. I ran the power cord to the detector to mount at the bottom of the windshield. I thought about hanging it from the rear windshield but it was too intrusive visually to me. It is easier to look at when mounted where I put it
Late to the party:
Uniden R7. I love this thing used windshield suction mount for a while until it kept falling (both in extreme heat and blistering cold weather). Now I use the blendmount. It's mega sturdy! Far more reliable. Tapped into the mirror. Super easy to do. Took all of 1 minute to tap and took 10 mins to get the Blendmount positioned exactly how I wanted it to be leveled and aimed. Super easy.
