Never. Looks awful on this car. The offset look is terrible as well. I'm in NJ, and so many drivers especially corvette , don't put front plates on. I guess I'm lucky, I pass cops all the time. I don't think you'll get pulled over just for that; but if you get pulled over for something else , that could be a different story
you won't believe what happened to me. a bicycle cop asked me to pull over as I was stopped on a red light. No fine but now I need to put one on and go get it inspected.

I stumbled on this after my wife got her RC350.....I just received my bracket for my Shelby GT500 and I looked at the grill on her car and it was very similar and guess what ....it fits perfectly.
Go to craigs custom mustang brackets and order the bracket for a 2008 GT500!!!!
It is the best soloution to a tough problem,In Texas we have to have a plate.

About a week ago, I was stopped turning left on a red light in bright daylight and on the opposite end on the street, a CA city cop was turning too. We were in dead sight of each other on opposite ends of the street for a couple minutes . Nothing happened and I have a feeling nothing will happen since on my 98' Acura CL I rode front plate-less for 8 years with no trouble . I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you get pulled over for something stupid and then you start getting noticed for not having a front plate, or tint on front windows, etc. You'll be good!
