If it doesn't happen immediately then I think that would justify a part going bad or becoming faulty and not simply a design flaw. Hmm I guess I'll wait and see. I personally don't use the feature very often anyway.

Interestingly when I was given a loaner, a 2016 IS250, the back of the seat was noted to be hot just like my RC's. Something is just not right about this.

Mine did it again once last week. After 5 mins of driving; Very very hot between shoulder blades. So I turned off seat cooling, it took 6 mins to cool.
Weird and just elusive enough to be ignored by Lexus.

what was the temperature in the cabin, you can only turn it on after the cabin is very cold because it s not air conditioned seats lol its a fan in the seat blowing in air the same temperature as the cabin. ya feel me? Im in florida too so its important we know this. you can never use it if the windows are open.

Do you work for Lexus? That sounds like something they would say.

The issue at hand is not from ambient air in the cabin. I've used my ventilated seats in a hot car without problems and used them in an ice cold cabin and had to turn them off because the heat was unbearable.

I've even got into my car at 2 am in the morning and had the seat get hot... at 2 am... The air in the cabin was 75 or below... But the heat on my back was over 100.

I haven't had any problems with my car or any of my previous Lexus vehicles that had ventilated seated. I also do not use the ventilated/ heated seat option often. But, it sounds like there is an issue with some of the RC's fans overheating. Do you guys feel heat immediately after turning on the fan or after some time?

I've been complaining about mine too, but a funny find is, without AC on, I put the climate setting to windshield defroster and lower body, I find the seats to get much cooler

I'm considering just completely removing the Lexus system and using an aftermarket option. Even when the seats do not get hot, the air coming out is barely noticeable. In my opinion, it's a complete and utter failure on the part of Lexus. I have ridden in several other much cheaper vehicles that have great ventilated seats. Even my 2010 RX350 has better ventilation than my 2015 RC F...

It's pathetic. It's even embarrassing... I either have to tell my date, "Sorry, you can't use the ventilation because it gets hot." or I let them use it and hope it doesn't make them uncomfortable.

I'm going to be completely honest in saying that the ventilated seats is not a major feature. If you're hot turn on the ac... I would not recommend fitting a 3rd party system as it will void your warranty. Take your car to the dealer and explain that this feature does not work properly and is an important feature for you. I think we should also open up a poll to figure out how many people are having issues with the ventilated seats.
