Default Joe Z Axle Back Exhaust Installed

Over the weekend I installed a Joe Z axle back (made for the 3IS) with custom dual tips. The dual tips fit the stock diffuser perfectly and vastly improve the rear of the RC. The exhaust is surprisingly louder than I expected for an axle back, but it has a nice aggressive sound.

It sounds much better in person. This and any axle back are an easy DIY. Jack up the rear, place jack stands, spray WD-40 on bolts and hangers, unbolt and remove. You only need an exhaust shop for modifications

That looks and sounds great. Will this Axle back work for the AWD?

I'm pretty sure it should because only the midpipe differs on the other platforms, but I can't say so 100%. You need to look up part #s for both.

Im finding out from the manufacturer the exact specs. Worst case ill have a custom axle back exhaust put on, maybe a muffler delete with two four inch tips. That rear looks great like that.

Hi all-

I think I found ELusive's tips. I asked him if he can see if they say flowmaster on the top of them (or anywhere).

See below:

http://www.carid.com/flowmaster/stai...FZYYHwodfGAFTQ

We would need to order 2 of these for 4 total tips.

Did you clamp on the tips or weld?
