Default See simple reverse light LED change

This is just something we did in like 10 minutes. It's really a simple mod of changing the reverse light to LED. First steps are shown below.

We used a plastic clip remover to take the clips out as shown, then just simply unplugged the original bulb and replaced them with the SMD LED white bulb.

Here are some before pictures:

Great write up. What LED lights did you go with?

I also did the same with my ISF, it changes the look of the car A LOT...when in reverse.. haha!

Make sure to buy some quality LED's so you do not have to constantly change out burnt bulbs!

Looks great. Can the back turn signal bulbs be changed to LEDs also? If yes, I would opt for that as well.

I tried LED Blinkers before (on another car) but they did not have enough load to them being LEDs that the car ended up flashing faster than normal. Is that the case on the RC?

that is pretty much the same situation on most cars. you can either splice a resister in or swap the blinker relay. now if only I can find where that stinking relay... lol

Thanks everyone! I also changed the light on the interior by the door to LEDs. I'll post those in a bit also. The LEDs we used are shown below for your reference:

We decided to change the lights on the interior side of the door to the same type of LEDs as well, just a different color.

from what I've gathered, the newer Lexus went with a digital relay system... basically circuit board and stuff behind the dash... I couldn't for the life of me find the damn thing...
