Default Remove Chrome Around Grill? / Lowering?

I've seen various pictures of RC's where ppl have blacked out the chrome. This is a newbie type question but I'm wondering the correct way to achieve this? Any help would be appreciated. I want to do it the right way so it lasts so any material advice is appreciated as well......also has anyone lowered the RC yet? What did you get to accomplish this?

They spray paint the trim with plastidip, 4 coats.

If you use the search feature, people here have lowered their RCs.

You can also wrap the chrome parts, which will be more expensive. However, wraps are a lot stronger than plasti dips.

Not necessarily, if you dipped correctly, once it cures it's just as durable as a wrap

I'm gonna disagree with you on that. Plasti dip will not survive things like rock chips. And, plasti dip will start peeling a lot sooner than a wrap.

Default Wrapped and lowered

I had my front grill edges wrapped on glossy black and lowered on RsR springs.

Next Tuesday I am having my trim wrapped.

I am going glossy black around windows, and going to have the front chrome done in glossy black as well around grill. They are removing my bumper to wrap this stuff. They are a well known wrap company in NJ (regularly wrapping exotics, etc).

Now the chrome will be glossy black, however, I am torn about doing the middle section of the aluminum in glossy black or doing it in carbon fiber. I think CF could look really good and split the 2 up, I mean stock they 2 are split up in color and on the RCF its more of a grey color.

I am also going to wrap my OEM spoiler in carbon fiber wrap, so hence why I wanted to do the aluminum piece... what are your thoughts on how this would look?

I have a really nice thick Carbon fiber license plate holder, so the CF spoiler will match the rear well.

Here is a pic of rear with CF plate... spoiler will be done in CF and blacking out the little red lights at bottom of bumper:

Search for RSR springs. Most people have RSRs installed. Some have Tanabe. And a few have coil overs / bagged.

I had a go, I must say, easier than I thought.
