Yours turned out good. Mine didn't. It took me less time to remove all emblems from back of car than it did for me to remove my plasti-mess. I used the Tamiya polycarbonate paint and got my rear L a nice gunmetal. It's currently getting clear coated at my buddies shop. I'm keeping all badges off back except for the main L. I also got rid of the L encased it plastic up front and I'm gonna use a chrome L badge from an LS460 which was gun-metal'd. It's being clear coated too.

I have found that taping up properly as well as doing enough coats are in your best interest. It sounds like you are all set tho and will have a way better setup than what i've got lol..I put myself on a 6$ budget for this one.
