Looking at an RC for the first time and don't know a thing. I saw one comment "about drive by wire".
Is there hesitation on acceleration from a start on these cars?
Thx ahead!

No problem, as that is why we are here. There are some saying that the V6 is slow, but most drive it in full auto, which is much slower than in Full manual mode and in Sport+ using the paddle shifters. When you go test drive one make sure to test it both ways to see the difference.
Just an FYI; even when in full manual mode and using the paddle shifters the car will auto-shift up one gear if the car determines it is in danger of blowing itself up. That is to protect the engine and transmission in case you forget to shift upon nailing the accelerator. There is no way around this feature.
If you got to have the 467 hp then the RCF is for you, but if not the V6 is very nice, and I love mine.

Does anyone know the weight difference from an IS 350 to a RC 350?
Edit: 3891 for F Sport AWD RC350, and 3737 for F Sport AWD IS350.
RC weighs 154 lbs more than the IS.

Here are the weights:
IS350 RWD: 3,593 lbs
RC350 RWD: 3,748 lbs
So the RWD RC is 155 lbs heavier.
IS350 AWD: 3,737 lbs
RC350 AWD: 3,891 lbs
So the AWD RC is 154 lbs heavier.

If you drive it with the Traction Control off and by that I mean hold the button down for 3 seconds until the light comes on the dash, it will give you full control (for the most part).

The RC uses the GS front end platform, the IS rear end, and the center from the 2nd gen IS convertible. That center section is re-enforced to be strong enough to support the convertible. The upside is that it's very stiff, but the downside is it comes with a weight penalty.
