Default Winter Tires for RC F-Sport?

Does anyone know if you can use 18" rims for the RC F-Sport AWD?

I have the original rims from my 2007 IS 250 (RWD) and was wondering if they could be used for winters on the RC? The tires from the IS 250 were staggered though.

Thanks!

As long as the diameter of the new tire/rim combo is the same as your old combo, there's nothing wrong with it. Willtheyfit(dot)com has a calculator that you can use.

You got me wondering when you asked about winter tires. My RC F Sport has 19's with All Seasons from the factory. Must be a west coast or warm climate thing that you have summer only tires I assume.

Yes you can use smaller rims as suggested above just aware of the bolt pattern and the offset.

It has all seasons, but we get a lot of snow here in Alberta (Canada). I was actually more worried if the 18" rims would fit over the brakes in the RC.

I had winter tires on my 2006 IS250 RWD, and it felt more planted than the RC350 AWD. I would assume that winters on the RC would make it feel at least as good as on my IS (which was pretty good!)

It will fit 18" wheels no problem, but tires I will be running is 235 45 18 all around, if you want you can get away with 225/50/18 but the diameter is fractionally off.

Thanks for the info! Have you ever tried this on an RC?

I'm looking at after market 18" (18x8) wheels for my RC, but wasn't sure which offset to go with.. 40mm or 45mm?

Do you know which I should use?

Thanks!

Hi all, I hadn't seen anyone posting much about winter tires here, but I had mine installed on my 15 RC 350 F-Sport AWD

I went with the Michelin X-ICE xi3 -- and downsized to 18" (235/45/18) without a problem - a few dealers were saying that you would have to go 19... this is not the case.

I was struggling to find a winter wheel, so ended up throwing on the Lexus Accessory wheel "Spyder GS" from a 2010 Lexus GS... they're alright for a winter wheel, but recommend them for the quality and price. Has an OE look and feel.

Attached is a picture. Take care people!

Can you go with the 225/50 R18 instead of the 235/45/18?

I'm running 225/50/18 X-Ice 3 with no issues.
