BMW to Lexus Converts?

I traded my 2011 BMW 328I for our 2015 RC350 Fsport. The Lexus is by far a nicer car. I had a lot of problems with the 328 (new tranny at 60k miles, Vanos went out, rear diff replaced, and more little items). I couldn't be happier with the RC. I just turned 10K miles on it with no issues. I won't be going back to a BMW anytime in the future.

Ya I feel the same way. That ipad looking thing in the middle of most cars really turn me off. My friend just got a C450 and the interior just doesnt do it for me.
I find that the problem with current BMW's is that the interior hasn't had a major change in close to 10 yrs. IMHO, it is lacking, as well as dated. The add-on screen in many models looks like an after-thought, but is also found on many other cars (Mazda, Mercedes, etc)....just not a fan of it.

Hi All,
I’m a current BMW 335 coupe owner and amconsidering either the IS350 or RC350. I’ve driven both and like both, andunderstand there is a bit less edge compared to the BMW. That being said, I’mleaning a bit more toward comfort and quiet. Just seeing if there are anyrecent BMW converts and what your experience with Lexus has been thus far.

So the RC is definitely more comfortable and quieter than the Bimmer. But it also has many features that Bmw didn't. It's chock full of great technology that Bmw doesn't come close to.
I do miss the oomph of the Bimmer as well as the lusty engine notes and the 8 speed dual auto clutch. The ride though, was certainly harder than Lexus. Lexus needs more hp and torque in the RC
That being said, you can't go wrong with the RC. The styling is a head turner while Bimmer is the same old, same old, inside and out.
Go for it, You wont be disappointed.

, my previous car was a 2012 328i. I can tell you that I do not miss BMW whatsoever. I enjoyed owning the BMW, but I did not enjoy the repeated trips to the delalership for repairs or the road noise or the rattles. A friend of mine has a 2015 M4, and that car is a beast, it is also noisy and you feel every pavement imperfection,etc. I am really enjoying the RC.

So, I posted on this thread in Sept 15...so I've owned the RC350 for a while now. I still can't gel with it. I'v upgraded the wheels, intake, throttle controller and getting a custom made exhaust this week. (not all at the same time, I keep doing bits to make it mine...I call it Ricktifying it ). Ihad to replace the gearbox on my 335i and rebuild the central display unit but still don't get the same feel with the Lexus. By this I mean (and I'm sure a lot won't agree) that I get a 'feeling' in a car. Ie just sit in a lamborghini and there is an aura about it. I did go from GTR, to M3 to 335i to RC350 so I'm trying to grow up, but the RC hasn't really hit the spot yet, I hope it will, I am giving it every chance with my little mods. I was never a toyota man, but I was always interested in certain lexus's, so I'll keep tryin

5 BMW's from 2000-2016. 3- 3 series and 2- 1 series. Loved all of them. The reason for moving to the RC is the interior. It's so out of date on the BMW. The 2 and 3 series have become a bit to plain for me also. That being said a BMW is much more fun to drive. Smoother motors better steering more agile better to see out of. If both cars were in my driveway and I had to go for a gallon of milk 3 miles away BMW would be my choice. If I were going on a 100 mile trip to the ocean the RC would be my choice. Without a doubt the RC is a much better looking car in and out with a more refined build quality. Better paint and trim. The Lexus is to heavy for the HP it has. One thing the new BMW's have over the Lexus in a big way is the MPG. Lexus should never have let it out of the factory with such sad MPG. This is 2016 not 1998.

About a year ago I sold my 2015 bmw m4 to get my current car 2015 Lexus rc-f ....... Both are great cars other than full torque at 1800 rpm the only thing I like better on the bmw is the transmission I love the rc-f and I feel if it had a dual clutch transmission just like the bmw it would be on a whole nother level on all in all my only complaint from the rc-f is the transmission but it's still a hell of a car and don't regret getting it at all

That's what the RCF (not RC F Sport) is for.
I have driven BMW,s since 1986, the last one was a 135 convertible with a factory upgrade to 330hp and same 330 torque. I got the RCF sport last December on a whim cause it looked so good in the showroom. Obsidian black with red Rioja interior and AWD.
So the RC is definitely more comfortable and quieter than the Bimmer. But it also has many features that Bmw didn't. It's chock full of great technology that Bmw doesn't come close to.
