Unhappy interior issue

While detailing my car this past week, I was all of a sudden struck with the appearance of my driver's seat. Most of the seat, and some of the back appeared dark, and dirty? This was puzzling to me, as I am only it with totally work-associated clothes, albeit frequently wearing clean, not new, blue jeans. There are no wear issues to the side bolster, or any of the seat, as others noted on this forum. My conclusion could only be questionable blue jean dye?? But, it did not stain!

Fortunately, the dark appearance readily and easily cleaned off with Griot's interior cleaner, and required no effort. Furthermore, there was no blue dye, or any discoloration on the cleaning cloth! So I am really baffled by this and happy it cleaned off, yet bummed out. WTF?

Anyone have any ideas? I intend on bringing into the dealer to show it to them when it happens again.

I had the same condition with my drivers seat as you stated. I thought it was from the light color being easy to stain.
I ended putting a small towel over on the seat bottom for long drives. Since I don't use my RC as a daily driver, it hasn't been a big problem to me.
It would be good to hear what the dealer has to say.

You know, for a $53k+ car, putting something like a towel under us is not acceptable.

My favorite was my dark blue '94 SC400 - I eventually replaced it with an SC430, and sold the SC400 to my brother, and you don't do that with a car you think is going to be a problem. He drove it until his death, at which time we sold it to one of his in-laws. As far as I know, it's still in the family, and still one of the most beautiful cars on the road.

Totally.

Also had an SC430, but did not find it nearly as satifying.

Yes, it cleaned up with some mild soap and warm water. I put some leather protector back on the seat, afterwards.
