Talking RC200T downpipe & exhaust

Hello People!

My name is Fabian and I joined the forums because I saw that no one makes downpipes and full 3'exhausts for our cars. I am on the works on making a custom downpipe and 3' exhaust for the IS200T.

Yes I know this is the RC subforum, but I have a friend that also has the RC200T and we will work on his exhaust after mine. Before I proceed with my project, I wanted to see what type of interest I can get on this, as it would be a lot easier to make a couple of them before putting the prototype on my car. downpipe will be 3' along with a full 3' exhaust with 1 high performance cat in the middle and two magnaflow mufflers out the back.

Hopefully the project will start this weekend, but I wanted to see the interest that there might be for a group buy, along with price ranges.

Please, post your opinions, questions and suggestions as I want to have as much info prior to doing mine.

Thanks!!!

I am very interested to see how this turns out! I hope we can get more mods for the 200t i feel like the car has much more power locked up in it. Can't wait for the results.

Curious to how the car will react and sound after this. Most turbo cars respond well to any aftermarket exhaust/intake..."most" turbo cars lol.

From what I can see in the 200t engine bay, the setup is old school - in other words, you can literally just strap another turbo to it :P

Im a new lexus owner so I do not know this to be fact, but i think the lexus ecu is the main challenge. I think it is locked up very tight so tuners dont even play with them.

Unfortunately I believe you are incorrect. I had originally hoped the same when I was deciding between models but this is a decent break down of the engine:

The turbo bolts directly to the head. Does not stop original poster from doing a custom downpipe though.

i wonder what a cai, exhaust and tune would do to the car... if i got like close to 300 horses, this would beat the RC 350 lol

If that was a possibility I bet 300whp is a reality easy. I think 300-400whp would make this car just a beast, but I am under the impression tunes are not a reality. I mean imagine a simple turbo swap with full bolt ons and now ur pushing some real power. A true luxury evo lololol. I honestly bought the 200t only because I felt maybe one day there would be an aftermarket for it but I am not going to hold my breath, nothing beats buying a turbo car from the factory they have so many ponies locked up.

yea turbo swap and full bolt ons would be nice. but yea i bought the lexus for reliability , or else i just would of gotten a beamer, least i can make it look cool and sound cool, the burger tuning CAI with some exhaust would make it sound dope.

The SARD Racing Japan Sport Cat can release 20-25HP out of the stock car.
