Default RC350 intake suggestions

So looking for an intake for my girls RC. So far I think I've only seen K&N and Takeda. I heard the Takeda sound clip and sounds sweet but it ain't CA carb legal. Only a problem in about 7 years from now when first smog is due. But not having a carb legal intake can land you a trip to referee world... so, does lexus make an fsport intake yet for the RC like I have for my IS? Is the sound and mpg gains as equal as the Takeda? That's the only basis I have at this moment to go off of. Thanks!

Sorry I do not believe Lexus indeed does. As you stated, the lexus website does provide an Intake for the IS but not for the RC. I also looked @ the GS 350, but was not able to find an intake.

7 years is a long time from now. Thats 2,555 days, a total of 61320 hours, uninstalling the intake for smog will take about 30 minutes. So the % of time wasted is like .000000001

True, but you get a cop who knows what he's doing and that carb sticker aint there, you're going to get sent to the BAR referee. Yes you can swap it out before going to BAR but the procedure is to get it tested and get a certificate showing it did or did not pass. Obviously it will pass with the stock system but it's going to cost you about $130 and your time. I have to weight this one out.

Hmmm.... didn't realize they hadn't made one for the GS as well.

Yup. Every car has to get a smog check, I believe every other year, after the first 7 years of its life. The first smog check occurs 7 years after its manufacturing. $$$

Lets overlook the perfect weather and the gorgeous women walking around half naked, and lets bash California because you can't have a cold air intake.

Well, i live in Los Angeles and i have a cold air intake... grow a pair is all i can say.

Lol, grow a pair? Right.... ain't nobody bashing California Mr sensitive. Just saying our laws make it a little more difficult than other states. To be legit or not is the question. I live in LA too and raised in Cali my whole life. Take a chill pill "is all I can say".

Only thing I hate about LA is the 5 and 405 freeway.

I like the 2 freeway and the 215, always wide open.

While we are on the subject, you forgot to mention the sky-high CA taxes. So not only do you have tons of extra paperwork, a nightmare of permitting processes and endless bureaucracies, you have to pay extra, too. Apparently, from the original post, it now looks like California apostrophes are being taxed as well - "for my girls RC," thanks to which we don't know if 10LEX has one girl or several. We may never know.
