Takeda CAI stopped my car
So I installed the Takeda CAI a couple days ago and it's been running fine. Well, today I was driving and a few minutes after I drove the car pretty hard for a block or two, the RPMs started bouncing like crazy and my car was driving like crap. I was on the freeway and couldn't really get it over 50mph. Stopped on the side to check the MAF and it was snapped in just fine. Unplugged it, plugged it back in, started the car back up and same thing. So I had to leave the MAF unplugged to drive it (somewhat) normally. Any help would be great! Thanks.

I'm not too familiar with the Takeda CAI, but I do know that with the Airaid intakes if the ground becomes loose it will cause havoc.. So check the ground to make sure its secure and didn't become lose.

I have that intake and there was no change with idle or any issues. Something isn't secured or installed properly. Check your connections and MAF sensor. It might be dirty or facing wrong direction etc.

I agree... sounds to me that something isn't correctly installed. Got any pictures?

It is possible that driving it hard the way he did messed with the computer, stability control and as such initiated the limp home mode. Normally shutting off the car for a few minutes will fix the issue. I've had it on my car for over 2 years and never had a issue other than the MPG goes down the minute my foot hits the go fast pedal.

Everything was installed properly. I used the post on the forum as a guide along with the directions that came with it. Had my friend that owns a body shop help me install it. It worked fine for a day then didn't. I then heard that it's not made for the 2017 model?
