Sorry for the boring question, but can anyone recommend any good, plain black, secure license plate frames? Every time I close the trunk lid, the plate rattles very loudly.
I'm also afraid that I'll damage the paint on the trunk lid from the plate rattling back and forth.
Thanks in advance

I had a plate frame that rattled against the car once, and I solved that problem with for a dollar with a small rubber bumper from Home Depot, or any hardware store. Give that a try first.

Do you want a frame to just help with noise or with aesthetics too? I got one from either amazon or ebay...I forget now but it looks almost new a year later and no rattling what so ever and I like how it matches my theme. Mine was similar to this following link and I went with carbon fiber. Hope it helps:

go to home depot and get some of these: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-...9565/203661091
put one or two on each lower corner of the plate/frame (on the back side). this keeps the plate from bouncing against the car. get a thin piece of Velcro or 3m 2-sided tape and secure the frame to the plate at the bottom, this keeps the frame from bouncing against the plate.
the issue is our cars only have top screws for the plate/frame.. if we had both top and bottom to secure the plate, or even a little plastic channel at the bottom to hold the plate this would not happen.
