Other videos of VHT users have resulted in a look that is too dark to my eyes but your video is making me rethink to buy the VHT Nightshades. What you got is the perfect shade.

Is the finish smooth and shiny? Hard to tell from the video. Thanks for the nice video and contribution.
Yeah! The finish is pretty glossy and smooth, it all depends on how much preparation you do to clean the taillights etc. & thanks!

It may be, but I did that last time so I decided to try masking it off to see the difference and it still turned out well! This video can be used for people who don't know how to remove their taillights if they have different car models.

Smile How to tint your taillights for $10

Hey guys! I recently tinted the taillights on my Lexus RC350, and I thought I'd share the process with you guys through a quick Youtube video I created. I posted this video on the 3rd generation IS forums but I realized there are many IS drivers using this forum as well. The process is extremely simple and I've done it before on my Lexus IS (hence my reason to post it here).

I would appreciate it if you guys let me know what you think of the video (it's my first video) and drop a like & subscribe if you enjoyed it!

Let me warn you to check with your state's/province's laws regarding coverings on taillights before doing this.

I was pulled over and given a stern warning by the local WA state Police to get my tinted tails fixed/replaced as soon as possible or the next time I would be given a ticket.
And I didn't even tint my tails. They were on the car when I purchased it used from the dealership.

Oh wow. I live in Canada but I've seen plenty of cars with completely blacked out taillights (which I'm sure is illegal) but I haven't had any trouble with my shade.

I've done that before on my Lexus IS so I thought I would try masking and see the results. This way the video can be helpful for everyone (not just Lexus owners)!
