Just curious -
has anyone had to replaced the cabin air filter about 10k miles or so?
I picked up my car with 9k miles about a year ago. I have been lazy but it seems like i need to replace the cabin air filter. There is somewhat of a bad smell that comes out from the vents. I had noticed this smell shortly after picking it up but didn't think the cabin air filter would go back after only 9-10k miles.
Really hadn't gotten around changing it, but i should have some time this weekend to do so.

Your AC system can also contribute to a musty smell. My IS350 started smelling due to the condensation on the evaporator coil, being that it is a dark and damp location, microbes can thrive and create a nasty smell. If your smells turn out to be from the AC you can buy a cleaner that sprays into your vents, and foams up to clean/kill the yukies. Running the climate control system for a few minutes without AC, as you approach your destination, can also help prevent the cultivation of microbes in the system.
