looks like a new bumper skin, and maybe a new parking sensor. Is the sensor malfunctioning?

No, the sensor works ok. The car still drives like new!

The old bumper can't be fixed? I'm more worried about matching the paint. The car is only 7 months old.

Insurance should cover you for a new bumper. Don't let them fix it.

The thing you should be critical about is the final paint finish.

If your deductible is not too high, get a new bumper. Assuming your RC was parked, will this be considered as collision or comprehensive?

Yea my car was parked with me sitting inside and my dash cam recording. I got everything on video and I even honked a few times but the woman didn't stop.

Maybe I'll just trade it in for RCF after I get it fixed.

Sorry to hear about the bad news. If you are serious about trading it, there's probably no need to get it fixed first - get your insurance payment and let the dealer deal with fixing it.

Yea that's what I was thinking since it's really not that bad. Great minds think alike.

This is my first accident in a very long time, what's the best way to go about this? I called my insurance already and they told me to bring it to a body shop and I guess the adjuster will meet me there to assess the damage? Then I just take the money and run?

sucks to get hit. but thats not bad at all comparing to my accident. just find a good body shop to get it fixed.

I was in a similar accident and its actually better to keep the original bumper vs getting a new one unless the repair shop can get a bumper from Lexus. In most cases, insurance companies will not pay for OEM parts if there are equivalent aftermarket parts.

This repair should cost no more then 850 dollars.

If that was my car and I was going to trade it, I'd touch it up to cover the black spots and let her rip!

Even if I wasn't going to trade it I'd touch it up and drive it. I wouldn't bother fixing that.

I had similar damage on my '13 GS350 when it was parked in a parking lot. USAA classified it a "hit and run" and replaced the whole bumper assembly and the paint matched perfectly. The best body shops computer-match the paint on your car so closely that you can't tell anything has been done to it. My out of pocket cost was negligible because it was covered under the Uninsured Motorist clause.
