1st service question
Just got a note from my dealer that my service should happen at 5000 miles or 6 months - I just turned 2500 miles after 5 months. I feel like I should just wait for 5000 miles even though that might be 9 or 10 months. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Is the time in svc as important than the actual mileage? Thx.

Thanks. Agreed, but over the course of the lease, I might be able to stretch out the time period for free svc. Also I tend to change cars in a cpl years so if I can avoid a paid service it would be nice.
Do you think it does damage to go 10 months and then reach 5000 miles?

Wait till 5000 miles. The car uses synthetic oil which will truly be the only thing which gets serviced for the first 2 visits...potentially an air filter on the second. All the other things on that list are just visual inspections if they even bother to do it.

Good timing for me to read this - I am currently at my dealer getting my 5k free service done on my 17 RC. Advisor said tire rotation, cabin filter and tightening of several bolts - my guess is re-torqueing something on chassis.
You'll probably be fine if you wait but you should call your advisor and ask them - I've found them to be very "real" and 100% understand - I do however recommend you don't mention your doing it to push our the free services but rather due to lack of time in your schedule - don't need to give them a reason to say no..
Cheers and good luck.
