Default Phone mirroring to lexus infotainment display

https://gromaudio.com/store/vlite/le...mirroring.html

Has anyone heard about this or tried it in another vehicle? I'm really interested in this and also the new RC350 have the bigger display screens......does anyone if that is also able to be installed in the older RC?

It will likely have iterations for both screen sizes. I have the Vline2 and it's awesome. For me, I'd rather not have to pull out my phone and plug it in every time I am in the car. With the Vline2, it's more expensive, but it has all the android functionality as a phone and is stand alone.

How do you use the radio? Can you switch between the Lexus system and the Vline2?

Or does the Vline2 have radio playback with the hd channels?

and when you say standalone.......it a ****ing android system and you don't need to mirrior the phone?!?!?!? So google maps is the maps on the display without having to hook my phone up?!?!?

Also how is the speed of the interface.......does it feel laggy at all? I like fast lol

Never mind I just thoroughly went through their website and watched the videos for the VLine and that **** is so cool......wtf these should come preloaded into the ****ing RC350.

@rcJten have you had any problems or is there anything you would recommended or any warning before i pull the trigger to get this.......are there any other accessories that are needed with it besides a wifi hotspot (thinking going with that instead of using my phone hotspot)? Like to use any of the oem things in the car like the mic / steering wheel controls / etc.....

I don't understand why this is so difficult? CarPlay/Android Auto make the most sense, but if not those... why not make the Lexus screen capable of mirroring a user's cell phone screen and add Lexus input functionality to select icons/type/play/pause etc? Bonus: the cell phone and Lexus input system could govern the cell phone (and by default the mirrored screen) which would increase ease of use and might be fun for everyone in the car (particularly for someone in the back seat who gets a shot at controlling the music playlist, finding a restaurant, using Apple/Google maps that will never be outdated, etc). OK - we need a code to prohibit playing movies unless the car is stopped but you get the picture. I bought Apple TV years ago for under $100 and can turn any screen in my house (including a dinosaur TV) into something great by mirroring my iPhone/iPad. We already have the technology, why not use it and skip apps like the Scout GPS link (which seems to have been developed before the turn of the century).

That's what I'm saying. I don't get why these car companies try to make their own slow *** OS system for these cars. Just mirror the phone and have some type of functionality from console and steering wheel.
