Default Blackvue Battery Hard Wire

Hi all,

Recently just purchased an RC350 F sports 2019. Just wondering does anyone know which fuse under the glove box is the best to tap into to hardwire a blackvue battery?
I know it has to be 20A or greater but not sure which is the best
Also anyone know what the fuse type is called?

Do you need constat feed och just with ignition on?
If it's with ignition on, tap into the 12V power outlet fuse.

I would tap that one but its only 15A and blackvue manual says 20A minimum

Use a fuse tap like this one. Then you won't put any load on the current 15A fuse, and can put a seperate 20A fuse for the Blackvue battery.

OHHHHHHH makes so much sense now. So it won't overload the circuit if it's drawing 20A from that circuit?

Exactly. With this you'll create a seperate circuit (from a shared source) with its seperate fuse. No extra load will be added to the original 15A fuse.

I have a BlackVue on my RC and my Evo. I just installed it on my Evo using those wire taps and it works just fine. Only issue I had was the 3A fuse it came with blew out 5 minutes after installing. I think it was a faulty fuse.

Either way, if you have a Power Magic Pro, you can tape into any fuse that is constant and any that turns on with the ignition. Personally for my RC, since I had to remove the fuse box cover and keep the fuses and taps exposed, I went with an OBD2 power supply for my BlackVue.
