Car "Jerks" When Switching Gears
Hello,
I recently purchased my first Lexus RC (300 F-Sport RWD). I have only been driving the car for about 3 weeks now, but what I am noticing is that the car constantly "jerks" when I shift from "Park" to "Reverse" and then a second time when I shift from "Reverse" to "Drive." It reminds me of when you used to ride a bike with gears, and you'd notice the bike's chain shifting when you moved from one gear to the next. It's very noticeable. In order to mitigate the effect I have needed to shift into reverse, pause two seconds, then back out, shift into drive, pause two seconds, and then start driving. The pause is to accommodate the shift such that it does not happen while I have my foot on the acceleration.
So, is this normal, or should I be concerned?
