Default 2019 RC 350 F-Sport or 2020 RC 450h F-Sport

Typo in title. RX 450h, not RC 450h. While I’m contemplating color combos on the 2019 RC, I am also considering the 2020 RX 450h F-Sport. I went from driving a very minimal amount, less than 3000k a year to driving quite a bit after my move to so cal. Brought my 2017 AWD IS F-Sport. My drive is mostly highway, about 60 mi a day Tues through Friday. My IS averages on 17.5 miles even on eco mode. Pretty bad.

I know the RWD RC is 20/28 as opposed to the 19/25 of the AWD: a little bit better.

Gas is relatively expensive in So Cal and I’m trying to be eco conscious which is why I’m considering the 2020 RX 450h. The fuel consumption is 30/30 which is great for stop and go highway traffic which is kills my current fuel economy.

I'm stuck in between the beautiful - YOLO - RC 350 and the more practical, generic, but gas economical 450h. The only thing I absolutely hate about Lexus hybrid models (except the LC hybrid) is that the suffer from that ugly no finished exhaust tips with the partially hidden muffler behind the bumper. Not sure if enough to be a dealbreaker. They got it right with the LC Hybrid.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

All of us in this section are going to be biased towards the RC. Its a stunning car. If you had a IS350 in the past, you're going to have very similar economy in the RC, probably a bit better considering you said the IS was AWD.

If you really wanted a hybrid, You can find a Lexus RC300h, although rare, they exist

Might have to find a Canadian spec RC300h.

considering you want good gas mileage, go for the RX. the 2020 RX450h f sport is a beautiful car and has plenty of power still too so it shouldn’t be an issue. although the RC would be RWD you’re going to get pretty much the same mileage so it won’t be any different than the IS

My vote is to use autotempest or something to find an RC300H... Such a beautiful car.

It is. It's basically the hybrid version and only found in the Europe unfortunately.

Here is a listing. Only thing you'd have to change is the headlights, or adjust them. Since its euro spec they will blind oncoming drivers.

Have it shipped to US.

How about the RC300h, best of RC looks and hybrid powertrain?

I actually recently experienced the 2019 RC300h and its pretty neat!
Here is a link to a video I made on it if you want to check it out?
