Hi everyone,

I just recently picked up the 2019 RC 300 F-sport last weekend so I am new to this (first Lexus). This board has had a lot of good information since I'm still figuring out a lot about the car.

I really like the car so far, the way it drives and looks. My only complaint is the Audio/Navigation system and the lack of customization. One feature that is bothering me is when I hook up my iPod to the USB, I can only browse songs, genre, etc when the car is in park. When the car is moving, the song list option is greyed out. I'm thinking it's for safety, but I was able to browse on my iPod the genres, albums, etc. just fine on my Hyundai Genesis coupe and even a newer Nissan rental that I had. I think they are overdoing it. Is there a work around to this?

Also, it doesn't let me change temp to Celsius (personal preference) like other cars did. Wish the Nav interface was better. Otherwise, great car.

Yes, there is a workaround the "greyout". A lot of members use the Beatsonic DVD/Navi Bypass unit.

I too recommend the Beatsonic bypass module. plug and play, and removes all that "locked down" bull*****

Thanks for the info.
I did see the beat sonic, but originally thought it was just for having DVDs work while moving. Good news that it also unlocks the other functions.

I use a separate iPod for music, instead of a phone so car play didn't work for me

One more question- is the Beat Sonic relatively easy to install or did a shop have to do it? The youtube video on their site makes it look complicated.

I personally havent done it. Dont really see a need for it personally.
