Default Wheels Question...Again

So, I had ordered new wheels for my wife's 200t F Sport and got an email from carid that they won't clear the brakes. The wheels I ordered were the XO Luxury Moscow wheels they had on clearance in sizes 19x8.5 for the front and 19x9.5 for the rear. They said they would not fit the F Sports but they would fit the F. So I am confused. After about 10 mins of being on hold and talking to multiple people who claim to work there, I just cancelled the order. But, don't the F models have even bigger brakes than the F Sports? I know the regular models have smaller brakes than the F Sports, but are they really that much bigger?

It’s probably the offset. RCF wheels stick out much more on an RC.

the RC F calipers are a different shape and size, so depending on how the wheels center mount and offset is, it may not fit.

they were 8.5 with 35mm offset for the front and 9.5 with 40mm offset for the rear.

A word of advice...

Find the wheel you want and go to Discount Tire. I have bought 2 sets of wheels now for my RC now and both sets through DT. I contacted the manufacturer of my current wheels through a post on these forums and was quoted a Club Lexus discount price. Discount Tire under shot that quote by nearly $700 and had the wheels in 3 days. CarID is crazy expensive.

Yes, some of the fitment issues with vehicles such as your F sport have to do with the brake caliper clearance, either the caliper hits the back of the spokes due to the concave design of them, or the center of the wheel is not built to accommodate a big caliper and the barrel of the wheel will hit the top of the caliper. It is possible that was the issue with the XO luxury wheels.

Thank you @jonmonkey for your business and recommendation.

I like TSW wheels a lot. I used them on several Mustangs back in the day.
