How bulletproof are the RC350 and RC F models?

I don't expect it to be the same ownerships costs as something like a Camry, but am curious how the total cost for brakes and other things that wear and tear compare to the GS or ES. Is the RC comparable in ownership costs in that sense?

Pretty sure the RC has the same braking system as the GS so I imagine it is the same. I have gone for my routine services every 5k miles. Usually costs me in the range of $150-300 and that is it. I have a lot of aftermarket parts that I tend to myself so I am not getting hit with air filters and brake pads. So I do not know what that would add to my services.

damn cool. Yes you can buy you a high horsepower, hey look at me, "common" type of hot rod car (aka, Camaro, Mustang, Dodge (anything)
and you can just fit right in there with the rest of the masses with these cars. Most have the resale value after several years of a riding mower
and the reliability to match most mowers. As far as Lexus quality, they are second to none. I have had 4 (RC being #4) and have not had any
real issues with any. ES, (2) IS and this RC. If you want something that gets the job done within reason, is reliable and holds value, go with the Lexus.
One thing I still love about my RC is on most days (mine is my daily driver) the only one I see is mine. With the cars I listed above, probably 25 examples
of each everyday. As the ole cliche goes, "a dime a dozen". Now the German guys, don't even get me started on my repair cost on those over the years,
and I've owned more of those than Lexus.

Any big tell tales on the RC when looking at used models to be aware of? I know I am on a Lexus forum...but is still very encouraging that I have yet to hear anything negative with these outside of a possible seat ventilation issue....Again appreciate you guys offering the feedback

So I'm looking to get into a RC350 F Sport. 2018 or higher. So when not purchasing a certified vehicle from a Lexus dealer, does anyone recommend paying money for a "extended warranty"? Usually when getting a 2018 or higher year, they will have some of the "bumper to bumper" left and definitely a few years of the "powertrain" left. Is it worth $3-4 thousand bucks for an extended warranty? Thanks!

I sort of had to get an extended warranty when I bought my 2015 F-sport mainly because it's my daily driver and had a loaner
vehicle included. Mine was nowhere near any 3-4K either, by chance the carrier is the same company my car, home, and motorcycle
are insured with. It was around 2000 grand and covered everything pretty much. Probably a waste of money but I'll keep my car for a
while and that's another reason I got one. I've been paying "insurance" for years on autos but have never had any big claims either.
The Lexus cars really don't have many issues overall either. Waste of money, maybe, but not if you need it down the road. That price
is probably that high because you are in California I would think. Maybe they're that expensive out there. Shop around.

I have had an RCF for 4+ years and it was built in 2015. Though, I only have 10K miles on it. the previous owner put about 7K miles on and it had seen quite a lot of hard miles. He used to auto cross with it and also used to do some drifting/power slides with traction control off on it, which is why the tires were more than half done when I got it.
My personal experience is, I have had zero issues with it. It pretty much feels and looks like a brand new car. No wear and tear or abnormalities. The car feels like one piece even driving over bad roads. No rattles, creaks or squeaks. The suspension and chassis are very well dialed in. Jut regular maintenance stuff. Tires and now looking into battery etc.

I have just over 128,000km on my 2015 RC350. Save for a wheel bearing that needed to be replaced, it has only been regular maintenance for me. Sometimes there are very minor rattles, but otherwise feels like a brand new car.
