That's the worst article/review I have ever read and I own an RC and a Vette!!! "I'd rather drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow" I see so fast cars don't go slow. I guess the person who wrote the article lives on a highway so he can always go fast or maybe it's a back road so he has to go slow. And now an RC is a luxury car he's right it is an unpopular opinion. And, the RWD RC 350 F Sport is $9K less than a real sports car 311 HP vs. 495 HP and 0 - 60 in 5.7 sec vs. 2.9 and that's stock. The back seat in an RC is worthless so in my eyes they are both two seaters. My RX is more comfortable than my RC and yes the Vette come in third for comfort on a long ride.
I had both also, but my previous car was a new 2017 Z51 C7 (sold in late 2019) and now I have a RC 350 F-Sport with the factory Performance Exhaust System (installed as a Lexus option). Was the Corvette faster - hell yes. Did it go around corners faster - yes. Do they spend more time at the dealer for repairs - yes. However for my needs, the RC 350 is all I need. I usually drive it in Sport or Sport + and enjoy the sound of the exhaust and also its handling. I live in the Tampa Bay area and really never used all the performance and power (except for a few times) of the Corvette on the roads here. Plus I never took the Vette to a track to take advantage of its capabilities. So living in a metropolitan area I can see the writers point on the benefits of the RC 350 outweighing the Corvette. But he is really not comparing comparable vehicles. If I lived in a rural area I may not have sold the Vette. It was a great machine, but above my use needs and capabilities. All I can say is this is my first Lexus and what a great vehicle. It has far exceeded my expectations.
Classic apples and oranges comparison. One of these cars is for one thing, the other for something all together different.
My RC is my daily driver, and I couldn't imagine a Vette being used for that for my commute. I have owned a ton of cars over
the years and seeing/reading this guys comparison, was pretty much close to just wanting to wright something. Bottom line,
this comparison is just stupid. Classic apples and oranges.
