Default Looking to buy

Hi all. So I'm looking to get into a RC350 F Sport, 2018 or higher. Looking to spend in the neighborhood of $35,000 - $38,000. Finding out that there are not many of these around, I'm in Central California. Want an Atomic Silver. Question, so when not purchasing a certified vehicle from a Lexus dealer, but buying from a different dealer say a BMW dealer, does anyone recommend paying money for a "extended warranty"? Usually when getting a 2018 or higher year, they will have some of the "bumper to bumper" left and definitely a few years of the "powertrain" left. Is it worth $3-4 thousand bucks for an extended warranty? Also, does anyone have an Caviar color? There's a 2018 RC350 F Sport, Caviar, with 16k miles at Monterey Audi, asking $38,000. Would be in my garage if it was atomic Silver...lol! Thanks!

If it's from a Lexus dealer and it's not a CPO the question should be, why? You might have to have a 2nd color choice if you want to find what you are looking for.

I worded that wrong. I should have said a non-Lexus dealer.

If the RC is as bulletproof as I have heard. I would not recommend getting the extended warranty as those thing can be a hit or miss sometimes during claims

With Lexus extended warranty, you also get four 5k mile service intervals included. I think the Lexus oil change is about $200, so if you plan to go to a dealer that is about $800 of "value". If the prices are close, it could be worth it. I personally have bought a Lexus to not have to need an extended warranty. Comparable certified models were $3-$4k more when i was shopping for me (2020 RC 350 F-Sport, fully loaded except for the fancy headlights with 9k miles), so it was not worth it to me for that premium. The non-lexus dealer I bought from offered me an extended full coverage warranty through 2030 or 120kmiles for $2300 and I still didn't take it. Maybe I will regret it, but I don't think I will need it. I have a 2012 Toyota Sequioa with 100k miles that has needed nothing but oil changes, an IS250 with 125k miles that is the same, and a 2008 FJ Cruiser with 250k miles that runs great and has only needed maintenance items (wheel bearings, axle seals). I bought it used at 245k for my daughter but it had the full Toyota service history stored online. Never had a major repair - only maintenance items.

If I were buying Mercedes, BMW, or Audi, I would only do it with an extended warranty and sell it 1000 miles before it ran out.

Was forwarded to this thread. I have a 2005 RX330. I need to replace the tail light assemblies on the lift (hatch) gate. All the info here talks about replacing the bulbs. Is there any info on what else is required to remove the tail light assembly on the rear (lift) door itself? Thanks.

this is for RC's, not RX's. also don't hijack someone else's thread, go start your own on the correct forum.

yeah, I already started my own thread in the correct forum before reposting here.
I was provided link to this one or maybe I accidentally got here. Should have checked it carefully before posting.
No intentions of "hijacking" another thread. Don't meant to extend this thread. I can delete if there is a way to do it.
