Default No Check Engine Light, but throws a code

I bought the Carvista obd-2 interface and got the trial app to see what it could do to customize my RC. I don't have a check engine light, but ran the scan for codes anyway. It found a P1604 code that has been covered in a few other threads. Since the car has been working with zero issues and no check engine light is currently on, I figure it is just a residual code.

When I tried to reset the code, it had an error and could not reset it. Anyone have a problem clearing codes on your lexus? Any tips or tricks to try? I know it is not a big deal to have a residual code, but I would like to clear it out to see if it does come back again.
