Default Axleback + J-pipe/helmholtz

I just installed an axleback on my RC and the drone from around 1,200-1,500 and 2,000-3,000 is unbearable. Has anyone tried installing a J-pipe/Helmholtz to mitigate the drone? Might try to get a muffler shop to cut a hole in the axleback then weld the J-pipe/helmholtz where the OEM mufflers would sit.

When I first had my remark I also thought the same thing, however, the drone was gone after a while, and the sound quiets down (either I was used to it or the carbon build-up decrease the volume), so I would say drive it for a little bit more before you decide to go down that route.

Gotcha, was it around like a month of driving? Plus would a resonator be better than a J-pipe?

I think it depends on how much you drive the car but I think after a few weeks the exhaust should be "broken in". Keep in mind that resonators might change the tone of the exhaust.
