Default Rocker Panel dimples

on BOTH sides of the car in the same place, I just noticed them recently. Had the car since 2017, No way I wouldn't have spotted them. No trauma of any kind, no accidents. My car rarely leaves my garage anymore since covid. Any ideas of what would cause this?
Thanks for any ideas...

2 dimples, front one more subtle.

closer

real close

Design flaw? Maybe there are fasteners in those spots that causes the distortion. If not dunno?

It's on them all. It is more noticeable on dark colors seems like. It is where the mounting tabs
are located. Mines black so I notice it really well. The one closest to the rear is more distinct
on mine. It is what it is.

My guess is that happens when the unskilled mechanics place the lift incorrectly/or slams into the frame while lifting.
This especially happens with 4 point lifts set to wide or otherwise improper. Yep, really upsetting. Did you take in for service recently ?

Not from improper lift placement. If that was the case you would have more than dimples. I've seen this on brand new RC's so doubt it is from
lift damage. It is more noticeable on dark colors. Doesn't really bother me, just part of the design.

it is the ONLY thing I will ever see when looking at my car now, it might as well be totaled. Shopping for a new car...those LC's sure look nice, they don't sell those with defective rocker panels do they?!?!?

Funny I had these same "distortions" on my RC (Caviar) and looking at them, it sometimes bugs me, but the moment I look straight to it, I don't see it at all, and quickly puts me back to ease.

Btw, can you share those tire sizes? Looks thicker (more comfort).

299ea/ 1200 for all 4. the tire itself it fanatic!!! car only has 30K miles on it....might be in the sellers part of this forum next week! call me OCD, or picky, or insane, or all 3, but i cant look at that bent rocker panel the rest of my life, i'd be mad every time a saw it.....maybe a heroin habit would lessen the impact....

Does this affect RC-Fs as well? I don't see these dimples on mine. (yet perhaps)

Like was stated, dark colors show up more than light colors Some have it more than others. As far as freaking out about it,
each one his own. If this bugs you as an RC owner, try looking at several cars out these days, Camaro's, Mustangs, Challengers,
even some Audi's and BMW's having 3 different paint colors on their cars. Where the main body is one color, the front nose is another,
and the rear another. This would aggravate me more than some hardly noticeable dimples on some lower rockers on my RC. These
unmatched colors are really noticeable on reds and blues.

The ones who freak out about it have first world problems.
