Is this covered under warranty? The warranty for my CPO expires the end of this year.

Our opinion would be advisory only. Your dealer is the only source of an accurate answer to that question, at least in the first instance. It appears to be a defect in materials (perhaps some faulty adhesive) which is probably covered, and dealers may have a quick fix. Also, the dealer is inclined to want it covered, as Lexus pays the dealer for repairs done under warranty.
Ask there, and let us know.
