Default Loose rear view mirror

Hey everyone,

i just got a 2018 RC 350 F Sport and the rear view mirror is loose. It doesn’t appear to be the adjustable part that’s loose, but where it attaches to the windshield. Is there a way to tighten it? Maybe a screw came loose?

How long have you had the car?

a couple days!

I looked by the mirror and saw a torx bolt, tightened it and problem solved. Didn’t even need to remove any trim.

Glad you got that worked out. Sometimes the simplest fixes are just right under our nose.
Or just above them.

definitely!

to avoid starting my third thread in a week, does anyone have a solution to a squeaky armrest? I’ve seen some threads about the GS and ES but not the RC. It squeaks pretty bad when I push on it (it seems to be coming from inside the arm rest, as it happens even when it’s open)

Find some thin foam with adhesive on the backside. Like the weather striping you see at home stores but lot thinner. Lots thinner.
Can be had at electronic shops or suppliers and it's cheap. I've had several cars/trucks over the years with squeaky arm rest.
this always works. Plus, almost all of the foam you'll find only comes in black and can easily be cut to fit.

Just to be clear. Are you referring to the door armrest or the console armrest?
I was referring to the console armrest.

The center console armrest. I've added some felt by the front button where it makes a noise when it pushes down, but the inside of the armrest squeaks too.

Only thing then would be to remove it, take it apart and see if you can identify where the squeaking is coming from. If not, check with an interior/car shop ask them.
