Default 2022 RC 350 F Sport AWD - Hump

I test drove an RC 350 F Sport AWD this morning and went on an hour test drive. I did notice that there is a hump where the arrows point to. I am 5' 11" and I had the seat a bit back but I kept feeling the hump with my right leg. My wife said to keep my leg to the left a bit and angle it so it doesn't touch the hump. I did that, but it is somewhat noticeable. I think I can deal with it. I have an appointment at the dealer Tuesday morning to try and make a deal on this car. Anyone have issues with the Hump?

Default AWD hump

I’m 5’10” and I didn’t notice it until I saw a post in a FB RC group about it after probably 3 months of driving mine. It’s never bothered me in the 18 months I’ve driven the car. I’d say that if you need AWD like I do, you’ll probably adjust to it over time so don’t let it influence your decision.

I'm 6'2" and I didn't even notice the hump until later on in the day when I had already bought the car. Mine's a daily driver and I don't even
no it's there until I vacuum it out on cleanup. I don't really need AWD being in the southern USA, but it comes in handy on heavy rain downpours.

For what it's worth, the IS AWD has the same hump and I am 5'11, I owned a 2015 IS, 2017 IS, 2019 RC, 2021 IS and never once did that hump ever bother me nor did I even have my legs touch it. It may be a function of how you sit or even how thick your calves are but if you feel it every time you drive the car, it may be a source of annoyance in time. Like I said, in my case, I never even touched it unless I would vacuum the car.

Now that I have a 2022 IS 500, I can say the hump is gone

An update. Purchased the car on Tuesday after taking another (my 3rd) long test drive to make sure I can deal with the hump. Doesn't bother me and I now have a really cool car. Drives like a dream.

Love that blue. Like I stated, I'm fairly long legged and the hump never has been an issue.
Great car.

I noticed this during my test drive before i bought my ‘15 RC350 AWD and at first it bothered me but then i don’t mind it now bc it’s kind of like a nice leg rear for me. Lol. I’m 5’8 btw.
