Default How do I remove these?

Just bought my rc350 2020 about a week ago, used.
the previous owner took it to a cheap polish shop and ended up getting what I’m assuming is polish compound on the black plastic trims.

Anyone know how to remove them? (Pictures attached for clarification). Planning on taking them out and HydroDipping them with a carbon fiber pattern.

FWIW, that's probably wax, not polish or compound.

It will sound like i'm kidding, but i'm not.

If you have some smooth peanut butter, put it on rub it in as best you can, and remove it, then wash it per usual. It will remove the wax.

Alternatively, some isopropyl alcohol. If using the alcohol, be careful to keep it away from the paint as you want the wax there.

Spray with a quick detailer it will dissolve the residue and give you protection at the same time. Dipping is cheesy IMO don't do it.

Gorgeous car & color! Congratulations. Clean em up & save them from hydro dipping in carbon pattern - that will be the best way to cheapen the appearance of the car IMO.

I've used cooking oil on a microfiber rag to remove old wax from my plastic parts. Works well, I then just follow up with a damp rag.

They make a Pre Clean product to wipe down pre paint. Try it on a microfiber towel. Gets wax etc… offf
