looking into Ohlins coilovers just a question
Im looking into purchasing Ohlins for my RCF, i was discussing with someone the other day and he pointed out that the need some kind of service every two years or so, oil change in them and oil can only be purchased through ohlins from a distributer, he pointed out to me that since we dont have a distributor in our country so owning ohlins is a ticking time bomb. Is there any truth to that with lexus RCF ohlins.

They have a service life yes and would need to be rebuilt with time/age, just as any normal wearable part on a vehicle. But saying there is no distributor is nonsense. Most super sport bikes come with Ohlins front and rear suspension... How are those to be worked on if there isn't a distributor or someone to work on them in the USA. Tons of places can rebuild it.
I'd email Mike over at Figs directly or tag him here in the group. I'm sure he'll shed light on it since he sells them.

Nigel, he's in the mid east, not the US. Since I'm not sure of the vendor situation, I'd reach out to Mike at Figs as well with questions about service. Ahmad Daham is based out of Jordan and I know he's used Figs for parts on his drift car. So there's definitely ways to get support in your region.
All coilovers have a shorter service life than OEM parts and will need to be serviced/rebuilt. That's something a lot of people over look.
