Carbon around window switches
The carbon around the power window switches is delaminating inside of itself causing these spots.
Anyone know of a good way to repair? I don’t believe these are sold separately.

Man, I wish mine looked as good as yours. I wouldn't even fix those until they look worse like mine lol.
I had my cf hood repaired by a paint shop; all they do is sand it down and clear coat it. Maybe remove them and take them to a local painter.

Is this a common thing with CF parts? Delaminating. Those stuff aren't cheap.

I was impressed with the quality and fit of the covers from Aliexpress. I see the listing shows it doesn't fit the RCF
I accidently ordered 2 sets for my RCF so I sold a set to an RC350 owner on ebay. He looked into what I had and I sent several pictures, I never heard anything back from him so I guess it worked out.

Yea the F and 350 window switches should be the same. Do they just sit on top of the exisiting part with double sided tape? They look nice!

Yes, stick on the existing part. They fit great for me and both sets looked the same.
Found the pics I sent on ebay.

There's some older threads about this, mine and several others were replaced under warranty. It's unfortunately becoming fairly common as these cars get older. The GSF guys have it worse since half their dash is these carbon fiber pieces.
The options are:
Replace the parts: but they are expensive if out of warranty.
Repair the parts: a lot of guys have had good luck with essentially peeling off the top gel coat then respraying with automotive clear coat. Just need to find a shop that's willing and able to tackle the project.
Do nothing: have a daily reminder that even Lexus is not immune from quality issues.

Hey! So you sold those after you bought them without trying them for fitment? I would have thought those pieces were exactly the same as the non F RCs. I'm really curious myself cause mine is delaminating a bit, and I'm dying to replace it with a new one. These look like they're well made.

The RCF/RC door panels are the same. The trim pieces for the door would be identical in shape.

I found a guy who makes replacements. They look pretty awesome and he makes a bunch other things, but they are $500...so I decided to just pop them off and look for a body shop that's willing to re-coat them for me.
