As some of you know Lexus had a contest to pick the orange color they had came up with. Well I was one of the 5 people that submitted the color Solar Flare Orange! There were ~2500 submissions. This is so cool!!

Unfortunately I don't get anything. I looked at what the person got for naming the newest Viper color "Competition Blue". They didn't get anything either.

 

Well, that sucks. They should have given something in recognition of the effort.

 

I agree Lexus should be rewarding your effort with something. Even somthing small like a key chain, just something to show their acknowledgement

 

Free detailing for a year would've been nice.

 

I was also one of those that proposed Solar Flare on the Facebook page very happy Lexus choose that Name!

Same...i suggested Solar Flare...lol. Along with other "Outer spacey" oranges i could think of. Somehow the car reminded of some space-ish odyssey rocket type vehicle. I'm still thinking about it....not sure how i would feel driving around all of that orange...I'd definitely slap on the TE37SLs with the orange...

 

Lexus stated there were NO prizes upfront! So whining about it after the fact is uncalled for. This is not specifically directed at the contest winner(s).

 

even if Lexus wants to reward your effort, it's going to be hard since a lot of people came up with the same ideas, so they don't know who thought of it first.
