Default ClubLexus First Drive: The 2015 RC F and RC 350 F Sport

"F stands for Fuji."

After his initial welcome, those were among the first words spoken by RC F Chief Engineer Yukihiko Yaguuchi during the technical presentation for the forthcoming Lexus RC line. And they served as a potent reminder of Lexus' philosophy, which dictates that any vehicle sporting an F designation should be able to excel on the famed tarmac of Japan's notoriously long and rigorous circuit...

Excellent John...!!!

Looks like they have a few typos to work on..

Most important is the RPM Redline raised to 7,100... From 6,800

Should be noted as 7,300 RPM Redline

There's plenty more errors:

- 10 airbags vs 8
- fold down rear headrests vs fixed
- 3 memory both front seats vs driver only memory
- Bridgestone Potenza and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires vs Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Yes very much agree on the more than a "few"...

I know how they miss wrote the RPM information.
  • For RC F, they are saying MAX HP is achieved @ 7,100 RPM for 467 HP
Shifts in manual will beep @ 7,200 RPM.. Redline is 7,300 RPM
  • In IS F factual comparo.. MAX HP is achieved @6,600 RPM for 416 HP
Shifts in manual beep @ 6,700 RPM.. Redline is 6,800 RPM

Leading us into the initial marketing docs of the RPM redline has been raised by 500 RPM..

Just not sure why they didn't catch these things internally..
