Dreams come true: Convertible RC F coming!!
I know, I know. Old news from last week. But now that it's officially been unveiled, I'm so effing excited about this!
I can't help but wonder what it'll look like with the top up. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that even as a concept, take away a few of the futuristic aspects from the interior, and it almost looks like a production model.

They say the chassis is so rigid that it could be a convertible without the addition of any torsional rigidity reinforcements (hence added weight).
Still, the hard top mechanism is going to add some weight.

It's neck and neck with the Pontiac Aztek as the ugliest car ever made. They even ripped off the stale urine yellow paint job from the new BMW M3/4. With the way Lexus designers are going they are def doing a great job of keeping me in my IS-F for a very long time and not trading it in for anything they are doing now.

Sucks, but it sounds like it's not going to happen. Dealers didn't want another low-volume sports car apparently.
Motor Trend: LF-C2 (AKA the RC Convertible) is "Never Going to Happen"

I'm not interested in a convertible, but I'm also not interested in how a dealership feels. I cheer on Tesla Motors so that one day we order our cars directly from the manufacturer. Order it online exactly how you want it, have it delivered to your home, and when something goes wrong they can pick it up on a roll back and take it to their service center.

RC 300h (Outside U.S.) hopefully bring to U.S. one day
RC 350
RC F high performance coupe
We all know an RC 200t will be coming very soon and now an RC 350C...that's an incredible expansion of just the RC which never existed.
To further expand Lexus coupes into a higher level with the next generation SC...Lexus most likely will bring:
SC 460 fixed hardtop coupe
SC 460C hardtop convertible
SC 450h or 600h hybrid coupe
SC F high performance coupe
This is inline to compete with the BMW 4 Series and 6 Series...the future awaits and I wholeheartedly look forward to what Lexus brings us in the future...

Dealers need to stop whining. If you want a third row then have them steer customers towards something more appropriate like the LX or GX. The RX is not and never will be suitable as a three row unless you make it substantially more bloated like the Buick Enclave. Even then it'll be a joke to have anyone beside a small dog sit in it. Also, then what's the point in having the others? Less profit margin on a smaller body vehicle with three rows vs an LX & GX. This article doesn't even sound right.

We're a long way from that but hopefully that is in the future.
