Default 2016 Lexus RC F

Is the 2016 Lexus RC F going to be different than the 2015 version? I want the TVD as I was wondering if I should wait until next summer to place an order or should I order in the 1st Quarter of 2015?

Just wondering if anything will be changed on the 2016 version.

no idea, supposedly a GSF will be revealed in Detroit and maybe 500 hp. Maybe next years RCF will have this same 500 hp engine.

Makes my brain hurt (ouch!) to think about waiting another year. I'm having a really hard time just waiting another month or two for my special order. I've waited so long already. 2016 sounds far away....

The 2016 will be much the same. I hear that a four-door RC F sedan is on way with the GS frame. Any gain the HP in the current RC F would break well into the $100,000--no free HP here.

The only way you will realize a HP gain is to buy the GS F at 506 HP with 400 pound-feet of torque. It is alleged to run a mid-4 0-60. It will sell for around $130,000. This will be $45,000 more than the loaded RC F.

Leuxs is on a course to produce limited production runs of these near supercars, and they will command the dollars.

no ones going to buy a GS for 130k, my guess for GSF is within 15k of a similarly loaded RCF. Base RC vs base GS is $6k

It competes with the M5. You can drop $138,275 for the M5. Expect to see the GS F sell for much more than one might expect. MANY sources are quoting a starting price of around $130,000...and there will be buyers.

I'm with you on this one.
You can't charge $130k for the GS F when the M5 starts at $89k or whatnot.
Following Lexus' business model so far, the F model typically carries a 20k premium over the top trim of the same model:
2008 IS 350=36k
2008 IS F=56k

2015 RC 350=42k
2015 RC F=62k

2015 GS 450h=60k
2016 GS F=80k?

The F is not about high-volume production. It is about F line brand amplification and association with the standard high selling Lexus models.

The GS F will easily break into the low $100Ks. The 500+ HP engine alone will bump the price up considerably.

why are we talking about the GS F in this thread? OP is about the 2016 RC F. We have a GS F discussion thread already

Default Continuous improvement

Back on topic, I think Lexus is going to keep improving the car just like they did with the ISF.

Nominally...every year. But remember: they had much more to start with this time with regard to experience gleaned from the ISF and LFA.

since the GSF has those sweet orange calipers with the F logo on it, maybe 2016 RCF will get them. They are the same brakes and calipers afterall. Cuz it looks freaking sweet with the blue

I was at auto show last night and saw the orange caliper and like it very much. I hope it will also come in red color so I can order a set to replace the ones on the RC F.

Why wait ? when you can have them professionally painted now

IS F owners have painted the OEM Brembo's all sorts of colors
