Track day in September.

 

Nice. There is a track opening up in Calgary so hopefully I will be able to do some track days next summer as well.

 

I hope you can get your F to the track when it opens, so you can really open it up and fully enjoy what our cars can offer. I googled the new track, and it looks like they are well into construction, so hopefully it will be ready in 2022. They are selling memberships, but very $$$, so you will probably have to sign up with a club on days when they will rent the track; this is what I do. I just put my snow tires/rims on, so looking forward to going back next year.

 

Yeah, obviously I will have to look for days they open the track for "regular people" and not the super wealthy with exotics who spend tens of thousands for memberships. I cleaned up mine etc. and stored it in the garage till next March 2022. I will be doing some mods during the winter like RR Racing ECU tune as I can do it in my parking garage. Cheers.

Track days are pretty fun, I actually picked up a daily so I can do some more mods to the RCF for the track. I generally keep mods on the mild side so my cars are still good for daily driving (springs, exhaust, good tires). With an actual daily now, looking into harder/solid bushings and more track oriented tires, as a start.

Look for auto clubs to join since they have HPDE events all the time. I'm a member with my local NASA region, but SCCA is another big one with different regions. The track should list schedules if other smaller clubs have events. Corvette and BMW clubs are one that seem to have several track days a year and normally allow other makes to sign up as well.

 

Met up with some of the members of NorCal Lexus Society last night (taking advantage of the time change). Can you spot my ride? Hint: only black RCF

Washed her up and put her away for winter. It's been less than six hours since I last drove her and I already miss it. It's going to be a long 5+ months.
